Ques 1. Are there chemicals involved in the Genus G99 masks technology ?

Ans: Yes, there are chemicals involved in the process. However, they are bound to the surface, and will not be released or leach. All chemicals used are compliant with regulations and impose no danger to the user.

Ques 2. Are G99 face masks washable ?

Ans: Yes. Up to 30 times at 60°C , Gentle hand wash. Flat dry. No Machine Wash. No Tumble Dry.

Ques 4. Why do Face masks need Antiviral and Antimicrobial properties ?

Ans: Wearing face masks bears a significant risk of cross-contamination, even in case of single-use. A study showed that SARS-CoV-2 can still be found on the outer layer of surgical masks after 7 days, at room temperature. Face masks with antimicrobial properties that continuously destroy viruses and bacteria therefore appear critical to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Ques 6. Has any testing been undertaken regarding the effectiveness of the treatment against COVID-19?

Ans: COVID-19 is the name of the disease caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2.

While it is neither a medicine nor a vaccine, therefore should in no way claim efficacy against the disease, Genus G99 masks has been tested effective against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Tests conducted by a Reputed Lab in the USA and a Prestigious Australian institute showed that the mask achieved 99.99% reduction of the virus. Technology has also been tested against the human coronavirus 229E, Influenza types H1N1, H5N1, H7N9, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and demonstrated significantly improved reduction of virus infectivity.

Ques 7. How will G99 Masks help the world to fight the pandemic ?

Ans : Study shows that SARS-CoV, a similar virus to SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) can survive 2 days on a textile surface. While there hasn’t been such complete study on SARS-CoV-2 yet, one cannot rule out the same persistence of this virus on textiles. So you might be bringing the virus home on your clothes or your face mask, and there’s always a risk that you touch the textile and then don’t wash your hands properly before you change your outdoor clothing to indoor clothing, for instance. Ques 8. How does G99 technology work ?

Ans : G99 is a unique combination of our silver technology for antiviral and antibacterial effect and our vesicle technology as a booster.

The silver technology attracts the oppositely charged viruses and binds permanently to their sulfur groups. Ques 9. If the Genus G99 mask is non-leaching, why do I have to replace it after 30 washes?

Ans : This is not related to the G99 mask Technology but to the filtration capacity and breathability of the mask, which will start significantly reducing after 30 washes.
